Folding@Home

When we aren't programming, our computers are saving lives! Almost literally. Folding@home is a project by Stanford University to help fight serious diseases like cancer, Alzheimer's, Huntington's, and Parkinson's disease. They are trying to model all the ways proteins fold inside of cells, but that requires massive a massive super computer and super computers aren't cheap! That is why they need your help. If enough computers from across the internet get together and split up the work, it can be more powerful than a supercomputer. All you have to do to help out is download a simple program and run it! You can download the program here!
