Hiya, anyone left reading this! Tech_Advancer here!
It's been almost 5 years since I last posted anything to this site and the age of the information is showing badly. You're probably wondering what I've been doing for the last 5 years now. I've been working for some large companies doing web development, web security, and DevOps. There was so much that I needed to learn that I didn't even know where to begin for the information dump that I'd have to put on my website to catch everything up to modern practices.
After 5 years now, I think I have an idea on how to tackle the problem and get the website back into the modern world. I'm going to break down everything I learned between the end of college and now. The goal is to make this a useful reference for people still in school or for people that recently graduated.
It's probably going to take me a while to organize all of my thoughts, but in the next few months, expect the website to get a giant dump of new posts all at once. The main problem is that the tool I was using to edit the site has drastically changed since I last used it and it doesn't work anymore. (I'm writing this post directly in the database.) So, I'll have to find or build a new website backend, which will take a while.
Also, I saw our forums got hacked. They were very out of date, so I pretty much expected that. I just deleted them for now. I'm still deciding if I should re-open them or not. In any case, a major reorganization is coming in the next few months.
jackobuddy, if you're out there and see this, send me a message! I haven't heard from you in ages! It would be cool to catch up and see how things are going!

After (temporarily) deciding to stop being lazy, I have posted two new guides to the Encryption and Privacy Tools section! The first is on removing meta-data hidden in your pictures that track you. Click here to give it a read. The other is about taking advantage of those same pictures to hide your own data inside of them! Click here to give it a read.

At this point, the new version of the website looks pretty solid. It is designed to work on pretty much any resolution that is thrown at it, including smart phones, and it seems to be loading fast and reliably. As you work with the website, if you come across any bugs that need addressing, please email them to email@example.com. This will ensure that all issues are addressed in a timely fashion. Please note that the forums are not part of the main website.
Also, speaking of forums (you like that subject change, I know it!), if you haven't joined them yet, you should consider joining. We have only a few members currently, but someone has to start the conversations, right? Feel free to share your thoughts on the site there as well, or you can post about other topics. We just ask that you please pbserve the forum rules. A new anti-spam system has been added now so the bot spam levels should be way down.
Thanks as always for your support!

Hey everyone! Tech_Advancer here! I'm currently working on the mobile redesign of the site. I expect the site will be glitchy through tomorrow. Sorry for any trouble.
The mobile redesign is done. Please report any problems to the forums if you can. I hope everyone is as happy with it as I am. - Tech_Advancer
